What Projects Are Not Allowed on Indeelancer

Indeelancer is designed for legitimate software and IT projects. To protect buyers, developers, and the platform, some types of projects and content are not allowed.

This page explains:

  • Which projects cannot be posted
  • What types of content may result in a brief being restricted or removed
  • How enforcement works if a rule is breached

Why Indeelancer Restricts Certain Projects

These rules exist to:

Comply with payment provider and regulatory requirements
Protect developers from unsafe or illegal work
Prevent misuse of milestone-protected payments
Ensure Indeelancer remains a professional marketplace for serious projects

These are not judgments about intent or morality. They are practical safeguards.

  • Requests that encourage unsafe or illegal behaviour

Attempts to Bypass Platform Safeguards

Briefs may be restricted if they include:

  • Requests to move communication or payment off-platform

Misrepresentation

Briefs may be restricted if they contain:

  • False or misleading descriptions of the project
  • Concealing the true nature of the work
  • Incomplete disclosures that materially change project risk

What Happens If a Brief Violates These Rules

If a brief or related content does not comply, enforcement actions may be taken.

Actions we may take

  • The brief may be restricted, removed, or paused
  • Certain account actions may be temporarily unavailable
  • Milestone funding may be blocked or reversed where policy violations occur

Enforcement principles

  • Applied privately
  • Based on platform rules
  • Focused on the content, not personal intent

Indeelancer does not publicly label or flag users.
